WEF still pursuing ECB chief Lagarde for top job, Bloomberg News reports - Reuters

- The World Economic Forum is still pursuing European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde to take over as its next chair, with the issue being discussed at an organization board meeting this week, Bloomberg reported on Wednesday.

Lagarde appears prepared to take over the role of WEF chair but wants to be sure that tensions between the organisation and its founder and former chairman Klaus Schwab have been fully resolved, the report said, citing people familiar with the matter.

Reuters couldn't immediately verify the report.
