Aug 14 (Reuters) - A U.S. court will have to reconsider a bid by China-based DJI, the world's largest drone maker, to be removed from the U.S. Defense Department’s list of companies allegedly working with Beijing’s military, an appeals court ruled on Friday.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit ruled that a lower court erred in not considering classified information the U.S. Department of Defense relied on in concluding that the company contributes to the Chinese defense industrial base.
The appeals court ordered the lower court to consider the classified material. A spokesperson for DJI did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
