Canada's annual inflation rate rises to 3.0% in July - Reuters News

OTTAWA, Aug 17 (Reuters) - Canada's annual inflation rate rose to 3.0% in July on faster gasoline price increases, as well as more expensive travel tours, Statistics Canada said on Monday.

Analysts had expected the annual inflation rate to rise to 2.9% from 2.8% in June.

NOTE: Analysts in a Reuters survey had forecast July CPI to rise to 2.9% annualized, and to be up 0.4% on the month.
