Canada's annual inflation rate falls to 2.8% in June - Reuters News

OTTAWA, July 20 (Reuters) - Canada's annual inflation rate fell to 2.8% in June on slower gasoline price increases, while travel tour prices were elevated as a result of the World Cup, Statistics Canada said on Monday.

Analysts had expected the annual inflation rate to fall to 2.9% from 3.2% in May.

NOTE: Analysts in a Reuters survey had forecast June CPI to fall to 2.9% annualized, and to be down 0.2% on the month.
